Make it Better

September 1, 2010 § 2 Comments

This is a piece for the next show that we are having at TrickGo (Thanks to Gab). There will be more details to come in the future BUT it is on Friday, the 17th, so clear your calendars and come have a drink and hang out with us! You can expect some new posters from all of us along with some of the ones from our 1st show. We will be doing a super limited run of collab tee’s and a little bit of an installation so it should be pretty awesome!

Awhile back I used the phrase Make it Better in one of my pieces and told you that I was going to make another poster including the phrase and here it is. I wanted to make something with a retro packaging feel, something simple and honest. The idea of the phrase is very simple, If you don’t like the way that something is going or looking then go and make it better, not for anyone but yourself. If you know that you can make it better, then do it, don’t settle for all the sub par crap that is out there. You can make the change.

As you all know, I am obsessed with patterns and I always wanted to, but never took the time to make one of these picnic-plaid patterns (for lack of better words) and it was a challenge! I have never been so stumped in my life, but I wanted to include it that way this poster could also go in a cuisine direction, because make it better can apply in the kitchen as well as art, after all cooking is an art too!
